About this opportunityAs a leading mobile technology company, Ericsson empowers employees to learn, lead and perform at their best. The role involves developing the infrastructure to support 5G automated testing and creating automated test cases for new 5G software features.
Responsibilities- Develop infrastructure for 5G automated testing and automated test cases for Layer1, test frameworks and 5G features.
- Build tools and automation to support vDU integration and testing activities, including documentation, test channel bring‑up, maintenance, database development, KPI analysis tools, and data visualization.
- Improve test development experience by leveraging AI, including GenAI powered tools, code template generation, process efficiency analysis, and collaboration with the AI tools team.
- Experiment with prompt engineering and fine‑tuning AI models for test case generation.
- Collaborate with colleagues, use Agile practices, and work independently as part of a team.
- Assist in investigating issues uncovered during testing, and troubleshoot test environment problems.
- Develop and code automated 5G test cases, test tools and scripts, and command‑line/web‑based tools to support software development.
- Perform software feature and integration testing in a 5G lab using simulation and signal‑processing platforms.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled full‑time at a four‑year college or university; experience in any co‑op term is acceptable.
- 2.7+ GPA or equivalent; upload unofficial transcript.
- Strong programming skills in concurrent languages such as Perl, Python, Java, JavaScript, Type Script, Java Spring Boot, HTML/CSS, C/C++.
- Experience with Linux, Gerrit, Git Hub, Jenkins, Django, Angular, HTTP & RESTful frameworks, database fundamentals (Hibernate/JPA), Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of LTE and/or 5G wireless protocols is helpful.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.

- Actively enrolled at a four‑year college or university on a full‑time basis.
- Available to work 40 hours per week.
