Overview
Join Ciena for an Embedded Software Development Co-op, focusing on the Wavelogic Test Platform. Engage in various software development tasks, from coding to debugging and delivery. As part of the Wave Logic Software Development team, you will immerse yourself in the software development life cycle. This co-op role offers the chance to work with multi-core embedded CPUs, SOCs, and develop software services that enhance high-speed connectivity solutions.
Your skills in C/C++, Python, and Linux will be vital in contributing to cutting-edge technology.
- Participate in software development life cycle processes
- Support implementation of cross-platform software
- Design, code, and support applications in C/C++ and Python
- Debug system defects and optimize performance
- Collaborate with engineers on software releases
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Engineering or Computer Science
- Proficiency in Embedded C and C++
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems and device drivers
- Knowledge of Yocto containers is a plus
- Enthusiastic about software development
