As a Senior Software Engineer at Affirm, you'll lead your team in delivering impactful backend solutions using Python or Kotlin. Your focus will be on crafting distributed systems and designing APIs to enhance user experience. You'll work alongside Product, Data Science, and Experience teams, making technical decisions that drive the company's mission forward.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and deliver quarterly technical goals for the team
• Collaborate with product management and analytics on project ideation
• Identify and solve technical or project-related issues proactively
• Monitor team artifacts and support on-call operations
• Foster a quality-driven culture through code reviews and tech talks
Requirements:
• 4+ years of backend development experience
• Solid experience with AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and architecture
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written
• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or practical experience
