Role Overview

Embedded Circuit Pack Software team – Ottawa. Work as a developer on real projects in a team environment, collaborating closely with R&D to develop embedded software that meets specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Work closely with R&D teams to develop embedded software and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Work independently or in a small team to deliver technically challenging products
  • Design, implement, and support features in C++ on embedded platforms for high‑performance optical products
  • Apply best practices throughout the software lifecycle
  • Solve complex problems in multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Analyze and characterize software failures
  • Share knowledge in areas such as OO analysis and design, embedded software, code reuse, design for test and support, distributed and multi‑threaded system design, and unit testing
What We’re Looking For
  • Education:

    3rd or 4th year in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other software‑inclined Engineering or Science disciplines. Must be currently enrolled in a recognized Canadian post‑secondary institution.
  • Strong C++ programming experience
  • Strong experience developing and working with embedded systems
  • Experience with QNX, Linux, and C is an asset
  • Experience working with teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with optical systems, TI DSP and BIOS, Git Hub & Git Hub actions is an asset
