Position: Principal Embedded Software Architect Telesat
Drive innovations in satellite ground segment systems as a Principal Embedded Software Architect with Telesat. Lead the design and development of high-performance software ensuring reliability and scalability.

This role focuses on creating advanced embedded software applications and board support software. You will lead cross-functional teams to define software requirements while providing technical leadership to foster innovation. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in satellite technology and embedded systems, focusing on leveraging TDD principles and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement satellite ground segment software

• Lead embedded application software and OS integration projects

• Collaborate with teams to craft technical specifications

• Provide mentoring and support to engineering teams

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field

• 10+ years in software development with satellite communications

• Proficient in C++, Java, Python, or Golang

• Strong understanding of TDD and simulated software testing

• Experience with cloud technologies and software modeling tools

Lead the technical direction for the Telesat Lightspeed program through innovative software design and support.
