Position: Co-op Intern for Embedded Software Development
Discover exciting challenges in embedded software at Lumentum's Ottawa location. This Co-op Intern role focuses on developing C++ solutions for high-performance optical systems. Lumentum seeks students in their 3rd or 4th year, ideally in Computer Engineering or related fields. You'll work closely with R&D teams, designing and supporting embedded software while applying industry best practices. This full-time position offers an immersive experience onsite for 8 months to learn and innovate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with R&D on embedded software projects
• Implement and support features for optical products in C++
• Analyze and address software failures diligently
• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
• Share knowledge on embedded system design and coding best practices Requirements:
• Current enrollment in a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada
• Proficiency in C++ with embedded systems experience
• Familiarity with Linux, QNX, and debugging workflows
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
