Position: Backend Developer with CBN Nano Technologies
Contribute to innovative research technology at CBN Nano Technologies as a Backend Developer in Ottawa. Focus on creating and testing high-performance backend systems in a hybrid work environment.

This role requires a strong developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in backend or full-stack development. You will design systems to automate data workflows and enhance research capabilities, using technologies like Python, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you will work to ensure seamless integration of backend components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop backend systems for laboratory instrument communication

• Implement visualization tools for experimental data

• Create RESTful APIs for automation and data processing

• Work collaboratively with product and operations experts

• Troubleshoot and optimize backend architectures

Requirements:

• 4+ years of relevant development experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering

• Proficiency in containerization and version control systems

• Knowledge of modern software practices and testing

• Eligible for Government of Canada security clearance
