Position: Java Software Engineer for ISTAR Projects
Drive software innovations with General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada as a Java Software Engineer focused on ISTAR capabilities. Collaborate and enhance tactical communications for the Canadian Army.

In this role, you will be part of the LC4

ISR ISTAR team, developing essential software that supports national security. Your work will emphasize the use of Java in enterprise applications, ensuring compliance with coding standards and active participation in Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to SDK design and documentation

• Maintain J2EE data sharing pipelines for intelligence

• Develop rich Java desktop client applications

• Enforce coding standards during peer reviews

• Participate actively in Agile processes and sprint planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5–8 years of software development experience in Java

• Experience with Java 2EE/Jakarta EE fundamentals

• Knowledge of MVC or MVVM design patterns

• Familiarity with communication protocols like REST
