Embedded Tester

On behalf of our client, Procom is looking for a Software Test Engineer who has an understanding of embedded hardware and software design.

• Owning and reviewing requirements
• Creation of high level functional specification design
• Delivery of quality code using Matlab/Simulink or C in an Autosar Classic environment
• Handling the complete Software Testing Life cycle starting from requirement analysis and review
• Define Test Strategy for Black Box testing which includes functional and integration level testing
• Test case authoring
• Test case automation
• Test setting up [Jenkins]
• Analyse test execution results
• Defect creation
• Defect reproduction support
• Defect triage
• Continuous quality improvement by analyzing leaked defects and enhancing test cases
• Tools:
  Agile and Scrum practices, Jira for requirement/story/defect creation, Git Hub for version control, Test Rail for testcase authoring, test automation
• Functional test:
  Python and Slash framework to work on a simulated environment Linux OS
• Integration test:
  Python and Slash framework to work on real hardware NI - LabVIEW, CAPL, Python

• Automation black box testing experience on hardware
• Capability to conduct design reviews for new content, resolve board software issues, and unit test content
• 5+ years of engineering work experience and domain knowledge
• Python coding
• Embedded hardware and software design knowledge
• Knowledge of control theory and algorithm design
• Matlab/Simulink, Jira, and Git Hub experience required (Jama a plus)
• Familiarity with CAN/Ethernet tools, AutoSAR, and Functional Safety (ISO
  26262)

Assignment Length: 12 months.
