RVezy is an innovative travel experience company that brings aspiring vacationers and RV owners together. Founded in 2016, we provide a platform for RV rentals available across most of Canada and the United States.

RVezy serves thousands of hosts and guests across North America, and you will be helping ensure they have a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience throughout each RV rental. We have a tight-knit team that has meaningful relationships with one another. To see how we started, check out our pitch on Dragon’s Den . Since then, we have grown exponentially, and our three-year revenue increased 286%, as mentioned in the Globe and Mail’s:
Canada’s Top Growing Companies 2023 .

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile Developer to join our team as the technical anchor for our mobile platform. You’ll own the architectural direction of RVezy’s mobile applications, built primarily in Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) with native iOS/Android support, set the technical standards the team builds on, and be the go‑to person for triaging and resolving our toughest mobile issues.

You’ll lead through technical depth, hands‑on execution, and mentorship of your peers, staying close to the code while shaping how our mobile apps are built.

Key responsibilities
  • Own architectural decisions and technical direction for RVezy’s mobile applications (primarily Kotlin/KMP), including coding standards and architecture patterns.
  • Lead triage, prioritization, and resolution of mobile bugs and production issues, and drive improvements to performance, stability, and code quality.
  • Partner with design and product teams to deliver user‑friendly features, and own the release process end‑to‑end (app store guidelines, versioning, rollout).
  • Integrate and optimize mobile apps with backend services and third‑party APIs, and use analytics/monitoring tools to guide improvements.
  • Lead mobile testing strategy (unit, UI, and beta testing), and participate in code reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Mentor other developers and champion best practices, while staying current on mobile industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team on technical guidance for mobile‑related issues.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of mobile development experience, with deep Kotlin expertise (Swift proficiency required for native iOS work); familiarity with Android frameworks/libraries and platform APIs (notifications, location, camera).
  • Demonstrated experience owning architectural decisions for production mobile apps, including performance optimization (lazy loading, memory, network) and integrating backend services/third‑party APIs.
  • Experience with app store deployment/release processes and automated testing (unit and end‑to‑end).
  • Familiarity with Git; strong problem‑solving and debugging skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable in a dynamic, agile environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), including sharing business logic across iOS and Android.
  • Familiar with a broad range of mobile testing frameworks.
Location

The role will require you to work from our office in Centretown 2-3 days per week.

  • RVezy stock options (we believe every colleague should be an owner).
  • Fifteen paid vacation days with extra time off over the winter holidays.
  • Health and dental benefits from day one.
  • Bonus plan connected to company goals
  • One paid weeklong RV rental trip every year.
  • Opportunities to attend festivals, concerts, and RV shows across Canada and the U.S.
  • Frequent social events and a steady supply of coffee and snacks in the office.
  • Dog‑friendly work environment in the Ottawa office.
  • Flexible work hours and a relaxed dress code.
  • Company laptop and equipment provided.
