Lead the test automation team at Telesat in Ottawa, Canada, focusing on strategy and hands-on development. Oversee advanced testing frameworks to enhance software quality and performance.
As the Manager of Test Automation, you will drive the automation strategy while managing a talented team of Software Developers in Test and engineers. This role combines approximately 60% technical responsibilities with 40% leadership duties, including mentoring and resource planning. You will work collaboratively across engineering and product teams to ensure quality at every software development stage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead automation strategy, architecture, and quality standards
• Manage and develop a team of testing engineers
• Participate in hands-on technical work and framework development
• Implement comprehensive testing across various environments
• Achieve at least 80% automation of regression tests
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s in relevant fields
• Significant experience in test automation and management
• Strong Java and/or Python development skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD and relevant testing tools
• Excellent leadership and analytical skills
