Embedded Software Engineer II Microchip

Microchip is looking for a Senior Engineer II – Firmware in Ottawa, Canada. Focus on firmware architecture, implementation, and testing while collaborating closely with various teams.

In this role, you'll work with marketing to outline firmware requirements and assess the feasibility of product features. Utilize your expertise in C/C++ and scripting languages to drive the development, testing, and documentation processes crucial for successful firmware implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with marketing to define firmware specifications

• Design firmware architecture with hardware and test engineers

• Implement and test algorithms per detailed designs

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering

• At least 2 years of embedded software experience

• Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages

• Knowledge of embedded systems and RTOS

• Strong debugging capabilities and communication skills
