Huawei Wireless Support Engineer

Huawei Canada is recruiting a Support Engineer to join their Advanced Wireless Lab and advance the field of mobile networks. Focus on cutting-edge research and development.

The position is a 12-month contract opportunity, where you will be immersed in a team of expert engineers in Ottawa. Ideal candidates should possess a

B.Sc. in Computer Science or Engineering, and relevant experience in software development, especially in C/C++. You will engage in evaluating RAN topics, conduct industry-related research, and help accelerate technological advancements in AI and 5G.

Key Responsibilities:

• Summarize and evaluate RAN industry reports and research

• Conduct technical research on AI-related RAN topics

• Drive innovative projects and proofs of concept

• Assess open-source RAN software applications

• Present outcomes to Huawei's product development group

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar

• Experience developing software in C/C++

• Background in RAN software (3

GPP) development

• Understanding of AI model applicability in real-time

• Willingness to explore and adapt in new technical areas
