Principal Systems Software Developer
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and enhance system-level software including compilers, command-line utilities, runtime libraries, and developer tooling.
- Build innovative solutions that enable customers to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure embedded applications.
- Investigate and solve complex technical problems across the software stack, from low-level system components to developer-facing tools.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to define product requirements, architecture, and long-term technical strategy.
- Participate in design and code reviews, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Continuously expand your expertise in compiler technologies, operating systems, embedded development, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong software development experience in C and/or C++.
- Understanding of embedded software development concepts and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle challenging technical issues.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for technical discussions and architecture design.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to build technology that other developers rely on every day.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience developing, maintaining, or optimizing compilers, tool chains, or language runtimes.
- Interest in programming language implementation, code generation, optimization, or compiler internals.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows-based development environments.
- Background in systems programming, including operating systems, debuggers, profilers, interpreters, linkers, or performance analysis tools.
- Familiarity with low-level software, performance optimization, or developer productivity tools.
- Work on technology that sits at the heart of embedded and real-time systems.
- Solve technically challenging problems that require deep systems knowledge.
- Collaborate with experts in operating systems, compilers, and systems software.
- Influence products used by developers worldwide.
- Grow your expertise in a highly specialized and impactful engineering domain.
