By working with the CIRA registry team, you'll play a part in advancing the CIRA Registry Platform, which supports a wide range of domains globally. As Dev Ops Specialist, you will work with the Development, Security, SRE and Platform teams to maintain and improve reusable CI/CD components and standardized delivery solutions, while enabling application teams to own their pipelines.

With a strong development background, you are comfortable with Java, Maven, automated testing, containers and cloud-native technologies, and can turn common delivery needs into reusable CI/CD solutions.

You'll also help establish CI/CD best practices across the organization through coaching, knowledge sharing and clear documentation. By creating shared standards and reusable components, you'll enable application teams to build and maintain their own pipelines.

What you'll do:

  • Update, maintain and improve reusable Git Lab CI/CD components and templates.
  • Design and optimize pipelines for Java and Maven applications, including builds, automated testing, security scanning and artifact publishing.
  • Improve pipeline performance, reliability and maintainability through caching, parallelization and efficient runner usage.
  • Manage Git Lab runners, container registries, package registries and pipeline artifacts.
  • Establish CI/CD standards and best practices while supporting application teams in owning their pipelines.
  • Work with Development, Security, SRE and Platform teams to turn common delivery needs into reusable solutions.
  • Evaluate new Git Lab features and emerging Dev Ops practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving builds, pipelines, runners, containers, registries and security scanning.
  • Share knowledge through coaching, reviews, training and clear documentation.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Dev Sec Ops , build engineering or software development.
  • Hands-on experience with Git Lab CI/CD, including reusable components, templates, runners, caching, artifacts and pipeline rules.
  • Hands-on software development experience, preferably with Java and Maven-based applications.
  • Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, security scanning and artifact publishing.
  • Experience with Git Lab security scanning, Docker, container registries and package registries.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash or another scripting or programming language.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application builds, pipelines, runners, containers and security scans.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD security, secrets management and software supply-chain practices.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git Ops, Argo CD or Terraform is an asset.
  • Git Lab certifications and experience with regulated or mission-critical platforms are assets.
