Huawei Canada has an immediate internship opening for an Engineer.
About the team:open Jiuwen is an international open source AI Agent community building infrastructure for the AI Agent era. Our ecosystem includes Jiuwen Swarm—our flagship multi-agent framework—along with Agent Framework, Agent Runtime, Agent Studio, MCP, Tool Calling, Workflow, Memory, RAG and Evaluation.

- Build enterprise data foundations using knowledge graphs, metadata systems, vector databases, and enterprise data sources.
- Design and develop core capabilities of the open Jiuwen AI Agent Platform, including Agent Frameworks, Workflows, Tool Calling, MCP, and Multi-Agent collaboration.
- Build real-world AI Agents such as Coding Agents, Research Agents, Data Agents, and Software Engineering Agents.
- Contribute to Jiuwen Swarm and other flagship open source projects through feature development, issue fixing, documentation, examples, and community collaboration.
- Explore cutting-edge technologies including LLMs, Agentic Workflows, Memory, Planning, Evaluation, and Multi-Agent systems.
The total target annual compensation (based on 2,080 hours per year) ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
About the ideal candidate:- Experience building AI agents, multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines, or workflow-based AI applications.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficient in Python, Java, C++, Go, or another programming language.
- Familiar with Git, Git Hub, or Git Code workflows and passionate about open source.
- Experience with AI Agent, LLM, RAG, MCP, or Workflow projects is an asset.
- Familiarity with Lang Graph, Lang Chain, Llama Index, Auto Gen, or CrewAI is an asset.
- Interest in developer communities and technical sharing is an asset.
