Nokia is seeking an experienced software engineer to spearhead the development of its distributed edge compute platform. This position emphasizes designing large-scale systems while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and leverage your deep understanding of APIs, Kubernetes, and high-throughput traffic routing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design a scalable, fault-tolerant edge compute platform

• Develop external-facing APIs and oversee versioning processes

• Optimize L7 traffic routing for data efficiency

• Mentor engineering teams on distributed systems best practices

• Communicate architectural tradeoffs to support decision-making

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with hyperscaler technologies

• Proven ability in designing large-scale distributed systems

• Proficient in API design, Kubernetes, and containerization

• Solid understanding of network protocols

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field
