Position: Open Source Developer at BlackBerry

This role is integral to QNX’s mission to create a robust open-source ecosystem for embedded development. As an Open Source Software Developer, you will analyze, port, and optimize software across various domains including core system utilities and AI frameworks. Your work will enable developers to utilize QNX for safe and secure embedded solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize open-source software for QNX RTOS

• Engage with upstream communities for software integration

• Enable hardware performance with silicon partner collaboration

• Integrate projects with QNX core subsystems

• Develop OS-specific support for cross-compilation tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field

• Proficient in C, C++, and Python

• Experience with Linux/Unix development environments

• Understanding of POSIX APIs and OS internals

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration
