Java Developer – Findur

We are Systematix and we are currently seeking a Java Developer – Findur Application
for an opportunity with a public sector client. The ideal candidate must hold an active Government of Canada Secret (Level II) security clearance. This is a 36-month contract, expected to start in November 2026.

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement application enhancements and modernization initiatives, including technology upgrades, system integrations, and cloud-based solutions, to meet business and regulatory requirements
• Support and enhance data integration, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting solutions related to the Findur application and associated upstream and downstream systems
• Perform technical and root-cause analysis on issues and, recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Apply and promote development best practices such as test-driven development and Dev Ops
• Provide second-line application support, including the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues
• Leverage, maintain and enhance existing automation and modernization frameworks supporting the Findur application
• Related activities and deliverable, as required

• University degree or college diploma in computer science, software engineering, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with Java-based application development using Eclipse IDE.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with enterprise financial trading, treasury, risk management, or capital market applications, including the implementation of application enhancements, system integrations, configurations, or technology upgrades.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience with RDBMS databases, solid understanding of SQL, preferably with Oracle.
• Experience in supporting applications with high-criticality, availability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Experience with Java development, configuration, customization, integration, and support with a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience developing and customizing enterprise financial trading and risk management platforms, preferably with ION/Open Link Findur or Endur.
• Experience working with Agile delivery environments and applying Dev Ops practices and tools, including Jenkins, Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops.
• Experience designing, executing, and supporting performance testing activities, including identifying, analyzing, and resolving application performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with financial applications/systems and data warehouse technologies, including data modelling, data integration, data transformation, reconciliation, and reporting solutions.

Pay Disclosure

The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows:

• Junior: 0–5 years of experience – $40-75/hr
• Intermediate: 6–9 years of experience – $60-100/hr
• Senior: 10+ years of experience – $90-150/hr

Compensation is commensurate with these standards; exceptions may apply based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
