Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer, Node.js, Cloud Engineer - Software
We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to help build our next-generation web portal. You will work across a diverse modern stack, using Node.jsfor rapid API development and Golangfor performance-critical backend services. This role is ideal for a developer who is comfortable with TypeScriptand Reacton the frontend and is eager to learn how to deploy and secure high-scale communication systems in Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities
Hybrid Backend Development:
Assist in building and maintaining server-side logic using both Node.js(for application-level APIs) and Golang(for concurrent networking and VoIP services).
Frontend UI Construction:
Use Reactand TypeScriptto build responsive, type-safe user interfaces.
Data Persistence & Caching:
Work with PostgreSQLfor relational data modeling and Redisfor fast session management and real-time state.
Cloud Operations:
Learn to package applications in Dockerand assist with deployments using Kubernetesand Helmcharts.
Security Implementation:
Help enforce Zero Trustprinciples by integrating OAuth2/OIDCauthentication flows across the web stack.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
JavaScript Ecosystem:
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and Node.js.
Backend Fundamentals:
Basic proficiency in Golang; understanding of structs, interfaces, and how to write clean, concurrent code.
Frontend
Skills:
Experience building web applications with React.
Database Basics:
Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL) and an interest in distributed caching with Redis.
Infrastructure Interest:
Exposure to Linux, Git, and containerization; curiosity about Kubernetesand VoIPprotocols (SIP/RTP).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
Experience involving real-time networkingand/or cloud-nativedevelopment.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP) is a plus.
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $96,800 - $118,300 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.
Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
