On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Developer (Vehicle Information Manager) to take ownership of a critical vehicle communication platform within an Embedded Linux environment.

This role will focus on the design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-performance software responsible for managing vehicle network communications and enabling data exchange between vehicle systems and software applications. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in modern C++, Embedded Linux development, real-time systems, automotive communication protocols, and software testing practices.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a Vehicle Information Manager platform within an Embedded Linux environment.
• Develop and enhance high‑performance C++ software responsible for vehicle communication and data processing.
• Design and maintain service‑oriented software interfaces and inter‑process communication mechanisms.
• Develop and support public‑facing client libraries used across multiple software applications.
• Maintain and improve Python‑based configuration and automation tool chains.
• Implement and support CAN network communication, including signal processing and data encoding/decoding.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive software testing strategies using Google Test (GTest) and GMock.
• Troubleshoot complex system integration issues and drive root‑cause analysis activities.
• Conduct code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, validation teams, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful integration and deployment.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to a small development team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, architecture enhancements, and process optimization activities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience developing software in Embedded Linux environments.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ development.
• Experience designing and developing real‑time, multi‑threaded software systems.
• Strong understanding of Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA), Inter‑Process Communication (IPC), and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Experience working with automotive communication protocols, including CAN networks.
• Hands‑on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Google Test (GTest) and GMock.
• Strong Python scripting experience, including automation and data processing.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
