Position: API Specialist (Secret, 5+ years) to build system-to-system integrations using SOAP/REST protocols and web services
Our crown corporation client is seeking an Azure / .NET API Integration Specialist (Secret, 5+ years) to develop and secure integrations for a Dynamics
-focused project using Azure API Management and to serverless components in Azure.
Join an enterprise banking environment delivering integrations between Dynamics and connected systems. This hands-on role focuses on API development using .NET Framework / .NET Core, securing APIs through Azure API Management, and implementing integrations using Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Key Vault.
Initial 12-month contract with strong possibility of extension. % remote (EST timezone). Must hold Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain system-to-system integrations using .NET Framework / .NET Core and Azure services.Configure and secure APIs through Azure API Management (APIM), including certificate-based security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.Develop Azure Functions for serverless integration logic and use Azure Service Bus for asynchronous messaging.Use Azure Key Vault to securely manage integration secrets, certificates, and credentials.Integrate Dynamics with other enterprise applications through available API endpoints, including Dataverse APIs where applicable.Support automated application and infrastructure deployments through CI/CD pipelines, including Terraform-based infrastructure as code.Troubleshoot integration failures, API access issues, and messaging flows across connected systems.Must Haves
5+ years of hands-on experience developing system-to-system integrations and custom APIs, with relevant experience in a Microsoft Azure / .NET environment.Demonstrated experience with Azure API Management, including a strong understanding of API security
, certificates, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event-Grid and Azure Key Vault.API and integration development experience using .
NET Framework and/or .
NET Core.Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs, including working with JSON payloads.Experience deploying integration solutions through CI/CD pipelines and managing code using Git, Open API specifications.Active Secret clearance.University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.Nice to Have
Experience integrating with Dynamics APIs and/or Dataverse APIs. Relevant experience with other Dynamics products, such as Dynamics AX or Business Central, is also valuable.Experience using Terraform to provision Azure infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines.Experience designing secure, event-driven integrations and asynchronous messaging solutions.Experience working in a regulated financial services environment.Experience working in Agile / Scrum and Dev Ops delivery teams.
