What do you offer?

Reporting to the General Manager, this individual gives support and coaching to Aquatics and CYF (Children, Family & Youth) staff, volunteers and members. This position is tasked with ensuring a high standard of professionalism, program quality, as well as community engagement as it relates to member experiences within Aquatics and CYF programs, services and facilities. They collaborate on program innovation, introducing creative and engaging initiatives to enhance member participation and satisfaction.

The Coordinator assists with the administration, development, implementation, facilitation, delivery and success of Aquatics and CYF programming.

Some Of The Tasks Of This Position Include
  • Overseeing Aquatics & CYF programming at the Clarence-Rockland YMCA
  • Hiring, training and supervising Aquatics & CYF program staff and volunteers
  • Enforcing the Ontario Pool Regulations and National Lifeguard Guidelines set forth by the Lifesaving Society
  • Ensuring classes start and finish according to scheduled times, managing daily swim lesson rosters, reviewing worksheets, and completing progress cards
  • Ensuring staff certifications are up-to-date
  • Dealing with member inquiries, questions, concerns and complaints
  • Filling in for program staff, as needed
What qualifications and abilities are we looking for?
