The Position
This posting is a recruitment for a Mechanic/School Bus Driver at the Voorheesville Central School District.
Mechanic responsibilities include repairs to the district’s fleet.
Drivers responsibilities may include routes for two in‑district public schools, and/or provide transportation for district children going to private schools, to Special Education placements and for district field trips and athletic events on an as‑needed basis.
HoursGenerally from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, 12 months.
Qualifications- High school graduate or possession of GED.
- Experience as a skilled automotive mechanic, preferably with school buses.
- Good work record.
- Clean Class B license with passenger and school bus endorsements required.
- Background check, drug testing and fingerprinting (as required by law).
- Physical condition commensurate with demands of the position.
- Must be reliable and able to work school attendance days.
