Delivery Driver - DZ

Reporting to the Rona division director, this position is responsible for delivering hardware and building materials professionally and within required timelines. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding work. The position also includes working in the lumber yard and supporting various daily tasks.

• Safely operate a delivery truck to transport products to customer locations.
• Load and unload trucks using proper safety protocols (may include use of forklift, pallet jack, or manually).
• Verify delivery loads against invoices and delivery information.
• Maintain delivery logs, electronic vehicle inspection records, and report any issues.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including resolving minor issues or relaying concerns to the store.
• Work in the lumber yard when required, including organizing and arranging materials and providing operational support.
• Prepare orders to ensure efficient workflow and optimal loading.
• Plan daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency.
• Comply with the Highway Traffic Act, safety regulations, and company policies.

• Have a valid DZ licence with a clean driving record.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience driving DZ‑class vehicles.
• Meet the company’s insurance criteria for operating DZ‑class vehicles.
• Be capable of providing excellent customer service skills.
• Have strong communication skills both orally and written.
• Be able to work independently in all weather conditions.
• Be capable of performing physically demanding outdoor work.
• Know how to operate a Moffett or be willing to be trained.
