School Bus Driver - West Part Time

Voyago is currently recruiting to fill an existing vacancy for School Bus Drivers for our Ottawa locations. (Stittsville, Dunrobin, Kanata, Barrhaven, Nepean and west end of Ottawa)

This is a split shift (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon) so being close to our school coverage area is essential.

• Safely transport school students – our “most precious cargo” – to and from school
• Ensure students’ safety while boarding and exiting the bus
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety
• Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus

• Safety focused
• Hold a valid minimum full Ontario G class driver’s licence (preference for B class drivers)
• Age 21 or over
• Clean driving record and possession of a criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• Sound knowledge of the Ottawa West region and surrounding areas
• Ability to work independently
• Available for required split shifts of 4–5 hours total, Monday–Friday between 6:30 am–9:30 am and 1:30 pm–5 pm
• Solid communication skills; pre‑hire driving skills and radio communication assessment may be required

• Competitive hourly driving rate of $23.00 per hour
• $2,000 retention bonus for qualifying drivers
• Compensation for a minimum of 4‑hour daily split if both morning and afternoon shifts are taken for a full route
