In this casual position, you will report to the Kitchen Services Supervisor and accurately handle food, supplies, and donations. Your responsibilities will include vehicle maintenance, effective documentation, and ensuring efficient organization of donated goods. This role is essential for delivering reliable resources to those in need within downtown Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities:
• Transport food and supplies safely between locations
• Maintain the delivery van in clean, safe condition
• Load and unload goods with care and attention
• Communicate proactively about delivery schedules
• Assist with sorting and organizing donated items
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
• Experience operating a commercial vehicle in urban settings
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong communication skills with diverse populations
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes
