Dock Manager at CWT Group

CWT Group is hiring a Dock Manager for our Ottawa site. This full-time role requires strong leadership and operational expertise in the transportation industry.

In this pivotal position, the selected candidate will oversee the loading and unloading operations at the dock. You should possess at least five years of experience in an operations role within the transportation sector, along with proficiency in LTL industry regulations. Ideal applicants will exhibit excellent communication and multitasking skills while leading a team towards efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage loading and unloading processes in assigned Dock Areas

• Organize daily manpower needs for timely deliveries

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and dock personnel

• Conduct pre-shift meetings to align team objectives

• Supervise, coach, and develop dock supervisors and workers

Requirements:

• Minimum of five years’ experience in transportation operations

• Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and LTL industry

• Proficient in AS400 software

• Strong decision-making skills under pressure

• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
