Join Coulson Aviation as an S-61 Pilot In Command and manage aerial firefighting missions across diverse locations. This role emphasizes safety, operational excellence, and adherence to FAA regulations.
As the S-61 Pilot in Command, you will report to the Chief Pilot, responsible for executing safe and effective flight operations. Leveraging your strong understanding of FAA regulations and operational best practices, you will engage in missions from aerial firefighting to emergency response. Your expertise will also support copilots and crew, ensuring professionalism in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe operation of the aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations
• Conduct detailed flight planning and inspections before each mission
• Verify readiness of maintenance discrepancies prior to flight
• Maintain accurate flight logs and operational documentation
• Mentor copilots and ensure clear communication during shifts
Requirements:
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft License with Instrument Rating
• Minimum 2,500 hours of PIC experience preferred
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of FAA operational standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
