What you'll do
  • Oversee the entire import and export process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for all shipments.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to facilitate smooth transportation of goods.
  • Monitor shipment statuses and proactively address any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement and sales, to align logistics with business needs.
  • Analyze shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize transportation budgets.
  • Prepare reports on shipping performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to shipments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact import/export operations.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously improve your knowledge and skills in logistics and transportation.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in import/export logistics or transportation coordination.
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations and international shipping practices.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and tools for shipment tracking and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
