Control rail movements and safety-critical systems with AtkinsRéalis at Walkley Yard and the Trillium Line Maintenance and Storage Facility.
This Yard Controller role oversees personnel, vehicles, track access, and operating systems within the yard and MSF. You will coordinate dispatching, vehicle launches, work zones, and incident responses. The position also supports Vehicle Technicians, reporting, investigations, and emergency activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct personnel, rail vehicles, and track access safely
- Monitor S&TCS, SCADA, CCTV, and dispatch systems
- Coordinate train dispatching, launches, removals, and authorities
- Manage incidents, alarms, delays, failures, and service recovery
- Support technicians, reporting, investigations, and improvements
- Technical, electrical, or computer diploma preferred
- Six years’ relevant industry experience may substitute
- Experience directing movements in high-volume operations
- Strong computer, communication, and decision-making skills
- Availability for 24/7 work, overtime, and on-call assignments
