Lead transportation safety operations at First Student through driver compliance and accident investigation. Provide oversight, guidance, and leadership across location safety duties.
The Location Safety Manager oversees safety operations and customer service responsibilities at a First Student location. This role administers driver hiring compliance, guides location trainers, investigates incidents, and supports driver and attendant training. It also supervises employees handling safety, hiring, or training responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer driver hiring and compliance processes
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and work-related injuries
- Prepare accident compliance forms and maintain records
- Provide guidance to location trainers
- Supervise employees with safety responsibilities
- Two to three years transportation or safety experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint literacy
- Working vehicle for service-area travel
