Rail Yard Controller Dispatch Specialist

Direct rail movements and monitor critical systems at AtkinsRéalis’ Walkley Yard and Trillium Line facility. Support safe, reliable operations across a 24/7 environment.
This rail operations position controls personnel, vehicles, track access, and maintenance activities within yard limits. You will operate S&TCS, SCADA, Siemens dispatch systems, CCTV, and yard control systems. The work supports dispatching, service launches, removals, incidents, and emergency response while coordinating with the TOCC, DROs, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Control rail vehicles, maintenance vehicles, personnel, and track access
- Monitor operating systems, alarms, CCTV, switches, and station elements
- Coordinate dispatching, launches, removals, work zones, and access requests
- Track incidents, delays, failures, investigations, and safety occurrences
- Provide operational support and priorities to Vehicle Technicians
- High School Diploma and relevant two-year technical diploma
- Six years’ experience may replace the technical diploma
- Experience with Canadian rail regulations or rail operations
- Ability to make independent decisions under pressure
- Willingness to work 24/7, overtime, and on-call assignments
