Senior Living Bus Driver
Drive residents to scheduled activities for Cogir Senior Living while supporting safe vehicle access and compassionate resident service. This role requires a valid applicable licence.
The Bus Driver transports residents from retirement residences to events, outings, and activities coordinated by the Residence. You will assist with walkers and wheelchairs while residents enter or exit the facility vehicle. The position also involves maintaining relationships with residents, families, and employees. Resident rights, ethics, morality, and integrity guide the work. Previous experience with seniors is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport residents to scheduled locations, outings, and events
- Assist residents using walkers or wheelchairs entering and exiting
- Maintain harmonious relationships with residents, families, and employees
- Attend required training and staff meetings
- Participate in the Quality Improvement Program
- Valid applicable driver’s licence and clean driving record
- Ontario Class F or Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia Class 4
- Current valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
