Position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, type M NEW
SGL is hiring an AME type “M” to be based at the company's headquarters in Ottawa, and they must be available to travel for occasional rotational field work around the world. Our fleet includes Cessna 208B Grand Caravans, DHC-6 Twin Otters, a King Air 200, and AS350 helicopters.
Responsibilities of the Position
Maintain the company aircraft at the main base and at field locations;Carry out maintenance tasks as directed in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual and Transport Canada regulations, within the scope of licence, capabilities, and authority;Consult with the Maintenance Manager(s) to identify aircraft, shop and field maintenance issues and to discuss maintenance requirements and problems;Assist as required, to ensure the timely completion of company, customer and regulatory audits; and,Ensure a safe working environment while maintaining a positive attitude toward personal and professional growth.Qualifications and Experience
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an “M1” licence;Experience on C208, DHC-6 and/or King Air 200 aircraft a definite asset;Knowledgeable understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations;Willingness to travel on short notice for periods of up to eight weeks;Valid passport and driver's licence; andAbility to obtain Transport Canada restricted area pass.Benefits
