Warehouse Worker

Pay: $20.82/hour.

Location:

Ottawa Retail Service Centre, 1980 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario.

You will work under the direction of a department supervisor and perform a variety of warehouse activities, including safe case handling, receiving, storing, preparing, checking, and shipping functions. You may operate rideable material handling equipment and will be responsible for selecting, assembling, and preparing pallet orders for customers.

• Select, assemble, and prepare pallet orders for customers.
• Operate material handling equipment (training provided).
• Load and unload cases of beer, wine, spirits, and cider weighing 40–60 lbs (18–27 kg).
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive motion such as reaching, bending, twisting, and walking.
• Clean up accidental spills and dropping of items.
• Manually unload cases from containers and trailers.

You must be able to pass a criminal record check (paid by the LCBO). Fluent in English and proficient in basic numeracy. Ability to follow procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Afternoon shift: 4:00pm–11:45pm.
• Midnight shift: 12:00am–7:45am.
• Training will take place on the day shift: 8:00am–3:45pm.
