Job Description
The Warehouse Lead Worker is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock/product, preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, and performing inventory and quality controls. May be responsible for oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the warehouse operation. Essential functions and responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
Job Responsibilities- Know and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and emergencies.
- Assist with food deliveries and non-food items for quality and quantity to verify receipts of items on requisition or invoice.
- Accept when in compliance with order; reject or note discrepancy when out of compliance.
- Assist regarding the methods of storage, identification, and stock location considering temperature, humidity, height, and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space, and other proper storage procedures.
- Assist in conducting inventory.
- Fill orders or issue supplies or materials from stock.
- Compile reports of use of stock.
- Assist to prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Use arithmetic to keep records, take inventory, estimate quantities, or schedule the flow of materials through the loading dock.
- Avoid errors in record keeping.
- Measure, handle, store, or move large and small items.
- Assist the Receiver to coordinate with Security staff to ensure proper Dock guidelines are being enforced.
- Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition.
- Verify quantities against packing slips.
- Enter and update receiving records in CBORD/system.
- Organize and distribute received goods to the correct areas/departments.
- Communicate with suppliers or internal teams when there are discrepancies.
- Maintain basic inventory records and stock locations.
- Requires previous warehouse experience.
- Experience in a supervisor or related role preferred.
- Requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Requires the ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
- Requires basic math and counting skills.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
