Distribution Warehouse Maintenance Manager
Location:
Ottawa, IL (salary $94,880.00 - $) & Arlington, IL (salary $65,000.00 - $70,000.00)

As the maintenance manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and maintenance operations for our company’s facilities. Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an excellent understanding of maintenance machinery and equipment, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities- Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.
- Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for the maintenance department.
- Ensure that all machinery is maintained to proper working standards.
- Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
- Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
- Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
- Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Overseeing equipment inventory and placing orders for new supplies as needed.
- Managing the company’s Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
- Managing relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Maintaining maintenance logs and reporting on daily activities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Creating a culture of safety by educating employees on safety standards and expectations and the safe operation of equipment.
- Establishing, implementing, training, and monitoring maintenance guidelines for the maintenance teams, including safety on the job and preventative maintenance.
- Providing input into the preparation of the annual maintenance budget and preparing budget requests.
- Developing, implementing and monitoring strategies for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and effectiveness.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED or Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a maintenance manager.
- Strong knowledge of PLC and servo systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with liquid filling equipment.
- Experience in the personal care industry.
- Experience in implementing maintenance best practices and processes.
