Job summary and responsibilities are described below.

• Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
• Implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to improve throughput.
• Solve complex problems with manufacturing, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Identify opportunities for cost and manpower reductions through assembly configuration and improvement.
• Drive incorporation of technical advancements into manufacturing processes and technology used in the production of existing products.
• Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts; evaluate products against specifications and quality standards.
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for management decisions.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and related considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Problem solving: identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; work well in group problem solving situations.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university in an engineering discipline.
• 6–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Aerospace fasteners industry experience is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently stand; occasionally walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
