MainDuties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial plant by performing the following duties.
- Implement cost‑effective equipment modification to improve throughput.
- Solve complex problems with manufacturing, sub‑contractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Identify opportunities for cost and manpower reductions through assembly configuration and improvement.
- Drive incorporation of technical advancements into manufacturing processes and technology employed in existing products.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confere with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confere with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Problem‑solve: identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; work well in group problem‑solving situations.

- Computer
Skills:
knowledge of design software and manufacturing software.
This role is required to be on‑site five days at the Ottawa, KS location.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college/university in an engineering discipline.
- 6–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering; aerospace fasteners industry experience is a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, frequently required to stand, occasionally required to walk, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
