The Cell Technician is based at our facility in Ottawa, KS. We’re looking for a team-oriented individual who enjoys the challenge of problem solving. This person is responsible for hot stamp changes, color changes, basic maintenance and trouble shooting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform various functions required to support auto cell production including:
  • label changes
  • hot stamp film changes
  • basic maintenance and trouble shooting
• Perform various functions required to support production including:
  • Assist with color changes
  • Assist with material changes, including unloading of railcars
  • Clean metal separators and magnets and remove any contaminated material to the designated area.
  • Stage supplies and prepare work area for upcoming orders
  • Complete Level III QA audits and monitor part quality
  • Accurately complete and/or check First Article Inspections
  • Understand the production schedule and accurately complete any required documentation
• Report and safety concerns or equipment problems to the Shift Supervisor
• Perform hot stamp set-up and changeovers
• Perform auto cell restarts
• Perform machine restarts
• Lean basic injection molding fundamentals to troubleshoot molding problems

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an injection molding environment
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands
• Good written and verbal communication skills
