Ottumwa, IA – 201 S Market Street

The position is for a per‑demand pharmacist located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Ottumwa, IA. The role supports pharmacy operations and provides overlap for the current pharmacy manager, empowering you to manage pharmacy and personnel in conjunction with the pharmacy manager.

• Provide support and education to patients on their medications.
• Manage staff pharmacists and technicians, addressing knowledge gaps through education and training.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including:

  • Quality Assurance
  • Customer Service
  • Personnel Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Financial Profitability
  • Loss Prevention
  • Workflow Management
• Keep abreast of HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse credentialing.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures at federal, state, and local levels.
• Ensure the pharmacy and its employees are aware of and comply with local facility policies.

• Bachelor of Science or Pharm
  
  D in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
• Required licensing/credentialing/certification as established by federal and state regulations in the state of practice.

• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting; 340b knowledge is a bonus but not required.
• At least 2 years of related pharmacy experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional patient service skills.

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Fine motor skills – repetitive hand motions via keyboard/phone.
• Ability to hear, write, and speak effectively.

• Monday – Friday (no major holidays, no weekends).
