Trigo is seeking a Part Time Traveling Quality Inspector in the Ottumwa, IA area.

Pay is $18/hr and 1st shift.

Overall Purpose

The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.

May Report to

Site Manager

Responsibilities

• Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects.
• Read and follow work instructions and general processes.
• Use measuring or testing equipment as needed.
• Ensure products meet quality standards.
• Bring parts into compliance by de-burring, de-rusting, grinding, etc.
• Utilize gauges and other measurement tools.
• Display excellent customer service.
• Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies.
• Collect and record data.
• Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Organization & Management

• This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Technical

• Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gauges, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies.
• In proximity to moving mechanical parts and machinery.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Hard skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards.
• Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
• Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access.
