Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications along with 1-2 years of acute care experience.

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
• Must clear Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
• All background checks across counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB

• Work in a 17-bed Emergency Room within a 217-bed regional health center
• Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6, averaging 40 visits per day
• Uses Medi Tech EHR
• Day shift schedule from 7am-7pm
• Every other weekend required
• Call coverage needed 24/7 to support daily volume
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and geriatric cases
• Facility offers additional services including Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics, Wound Care, and more
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
