American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with IA or compact licensure, requiring prior acute care experience and TNCC certification.

• Work in a 17-bed Emergency Department within a regional health center offering ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, and more
• Primarily adult and geriatric patient population with approximately 40 visits per day
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Medi Tech EHR system
• Shift schedule is 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Call coverage needed to support 24/7 daily volume

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
• Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions, with no exceptions
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of acute adult and geriatric cases
• Facility is located in Ottumwa, Iowa, known for its river trails and status as the Video Game Capital of the World
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Local candidates within the radius may be considered at the local rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
