Eljada Aftercare, a programme of BADISA – a joint ministry initiative of the Dutch Reformed Church (Western Cape) and the Uniting Reformed Church in Southern Africa (Cape Synod) – invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Workshop Instructor.
Requirements- Good knowledge and understanding of physical, psychological and intellectual disabilities.
- Experience working with adults between the ages of 20 and 74 will be an advantage.
- An empathetic and patient approach to care and development.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Providing optimal daily stimulation to adults with disabilities.
- Planning and implementing workshop projects on a daily basis.
- Teaching and developing new practical and craft skills among residents.
- Promoting emotional well-being and providing appropriate stimulation.
- Creatively developing new projects and programmes.
- Participating in relevant committees.
- Assisting with fundraising projects.
- Pursuing self-development through attendance of relevant training and courses.
