Our client is a third-generation family-owned business specializing in the production of high-quality clay bricks and specialty masonry products. Trusted by builders and developers across the Western Cape, the company has recently expanded operations with a state-of-the-art, environmentally focused factory. With a strong reputation and growing customer demand, they are expanding their sales force to better serve the Overberg region.
The Role:External Sales Representative
This is a full-time, on-the-road sales role for a driven and energetic individual based in the Overberg region. Reporting to the Paarl office once a week, the representative will be responsible for increasing brand presence and driving sales among builders, architects, and retailers.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively visit construction sites and retail stores to promote and sell products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with site managers, developers, architects, and designers
- Manage client queries and resolve on-site issues swiftly
- Promote in-store displays and ensure products are well-stocked in retail locations
- Track orders, manage stock reconciliation, and maintain accurate sales records using the ERP and CRM systems
- Liaise with warehouse and yard staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Deliver administrative tasks efficiently, including paperwork and reporting
- Stay informed about industry trends and product developments through ongoing learning
- 2+ years experience in a sales role, ideally in the construction or building materials industry
- Familiarity with the brick and construction process is highly advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with a solutions-driven mindset
- Confident communicator who can build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Comfortable working on the road, independently managing a sales territory
- Basic computer literacy (ERP/CRM experience beneficial)
- South African citizen with a valid driver's license
- Must be currently based in the Overberg Region (Western Cape)
