Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Full-Time | Entry-Level to 5 Years | Kansas City, MO (On-site)

A growing plumbing and mechanical services company in Kansas City is seeking an early-career Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting who wants hands‑on experience, strong mentorship, and long‑term growth opportunities.

• Perform general ledger entries and assist with month‑end close.
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership.
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
• Work with operations teams on billing, job costing, and invoicing.
• Participate in process improvements and ad hoc accounting projects.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 0‑5 years of accounting experience (internships accepted); proficiency in Excel and understanding of GAAP; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; solid communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred: CPA or CPA‑track; experience with Quick Books, job costing, or construction accounting; background in field service, construction, or trades industries.
