Job Title:Stonecroft Accounting Associate

Primary Position Responsibility
:
The Accounting Associate is a key member of the finance team, working closely with other team members to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date. This position is responsible for a wide range of tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, general ledger support and helping prepare basic financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform day to day accounting and finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile organization’s accounts by working to match bank statements, credit card statements and receipts and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budget preparation and tracking.
• Support the month end close process and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• File documents, track expenses, and update ledger accounts.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support as needed.
• Support the Director of Finance with the annual audit and Form 990 preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• All staff must travel at least 8 days a year for bi-annual All staff gatherings held nationwide.
• Assist with payroll reconciliation, payroll entries, and benefit-related accounting.
• Track expenses by grant or program and maintain supporting documentation for reporting.

Qualifications:

• A personal and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ which is naturally communicated through words and actions.
• A personal passion for evangelism (the spiritual gift of evangelism is not required).
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of recent bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
• Proficiency in Quick Books Online.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
