The Opportunity

We're seeking an ambitious and results-oriented Director to lead our national commercial sales strategy. You will be tasked with identifying and seizing key growth opportunities, dramatically scaling our market share, and driving our growth objectives nationwide. This is a high-impact role requiring a strategic operator who can inspire teams, execute complex commercial deals, and deliver predictable, scalable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Own the development and execution of comprehensive national commercial sales plans, forecasts, and initiatives, ensuring rigorous alignment with overall company goals and market strategy.
  • Market Expansion: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and expansion opportunities to profitably grow revenue and volume across all regions and branches.
  • Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Lead all relationship management efforts, expertly nurturing existing client loyalty while aggressively securing new business opportunities.
  • Drive Financial Performance: Assume ownership and strategic management of the P&L for the commercial sales division.
  • Maintain Market Presence: Travel is projected to be between 25% and 50% annually based on business needs to engage with clients, stakeholders, and to represent the organization in key markets.
  • Revenue Optimization: Optimize pricing, promotions, incentives, and contract negotiations to maximize sales performance and profitability.
  • Sales Force Productivity: Collaborate closely with regional sales leadership to maximize sales force productivity, implement best practices, and drive pipeline discipline across the organization.
  • Team Motivation & Management: Motivate, mentor, and lead cross-functional sales teams to launch targeted regional and national campaigns, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Performance & Reporting: Define and track critical sales metrics and KPIs; leverage data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities; provide sophisticated, data-driven reporting and strategic insights to the executive leadership team.
  • Training & Development: Oversee the development and implementation of advanced training programs to elevate national sales team capabilities, particularly in complex commercial contract negotiation.
  • Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years in commercial sales management or leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving significant year-over-year growth and scaling national sales operations.
  • Industry Acumen: Deep expertise in the Commercial Services or Consumer Services industries is required.
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven approach to decision making, comfortable managing complex data sets and forecasting models.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. A proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    High proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales reporting/forecasting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Industry: Experience with in the HVAC industry, equipment, pricing, and competitive landscape is highly preferred but not essential.
  • Leverage Cross-Functional Expertise: Ideal candidates possess preferred qualifications in operations management or extensive experience collaborating closely with operational leadership to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
